Okay, Claaaaass, ATTENTION PLEASE! Please go to your desks and sit down. Now rise for the Pledge of Allegiance....Okay, we have a SPECIAL ANNOUNCMENT...the '68 IS GREAT GOLF EXTRAVAGANZE [sic] STEERING COMMITTEE, headed by Steve Leger, Head Honcho, Chief of Stuff, and Professional Head, Ad Hoc, Ad Nauseum, per son, Ad Lib, on behalf of said committee, composed of Steve Leger, Chair, and John Huitt, Senior member, and ... are proud to announce: IT IS OFFICIAL! HEAR YE, HEAR YE, HEAR YE...NOW HEAR THIS, NOW HEAR THIS...THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE 68 IS GREAT GOLF EXTRAVANZE [sic] IS THE RANCHO MARIA GOLF COURSE, on Saturday, August 1, 2009 @ 8:00 a.m. in the morning (starting time). It will be a shotgun format (which means it would probably be good to get there not much after 7 am). There is still plenty of time to figure out if we want to introduce some sort of competitive format or for some awards. Some type of fun stuff. We have about 4-foursomes for now. The signup for the EXTRAVAGANZE [sic] can continue into the middle of July or longer, so there is plenty of time to sign up. There is also enough time to get some practice in. So that means I have to start back at the range again. And don't forget to practice that short game! Anyone reading this and knows of people who are signed up or may want to play, please notify them. I will try to send out emails or PMs from here to those signed up already. Let's try to get at least 5 or 6 foursomes out there! This could really be some fun (and in my case, a little embarrassing).
