Tim Mainland

I have been a college music prof at Concord since 1978. I attended UCSB (during that time I returned to France and went to Univ. de Bordeaux - I looked up Jean Jacques, Louis Sabatier and Henri Roux) and Cincinnati Conservatory. I did additional studies in 00 and 01 at NYU in Manhattan (I got to hang out with Bill Nolan - nothing new about that!)

I retired in March of 2020 and took another job at the Appalachian South Folklife Center - a non-profit that I have always loved.

Will never forget the Band! I returned in the early 80s to talk to a music appreciation class at SMHS, but was really sad to learn that there was no band and no choir - has that changed? Music and the Arts are being torn down everywhere.
